Cookie Policy
This policy explains which cookies interviewassistant.app sets, why each one exists, how long it lasts, and how you can change your choice. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember information between page loads — such as your language or the choice you made in a consent banner. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, work in much the same way; in this policy, "cookies" covers them too.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are "first-party" cookies. Cookies set by another domain — for example an embedded advertising or analytics service — are "third-party" cookies. Some cookies expire when you close your browser ("session" cookies); others remain for a fixed period ("persistent" cookies).
2. Our approach
We keep cookies to a minimum. Today this website:
- sets only first-party cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work or to remember a choice you made;
- does not use advertising, retargeting, or social-media tracking cookies;
- does not load third-party analytics scripts or fonts — our fonts are self-hosted, so viewing the site sends no request to font providers; and
- does not set any optional cookie unless you click "Accept All".
The Interview Assistant AI desktop app does not use cookies at all.
3. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent under the ePrivacy rules because the site cannot provide what you asked for without them. They cannot be switched off in our banner, but you can block them in your browser — some parts of the site may then not work as expected.
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| IA_CONSENT | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie choice (Accept All or Reject All) and the version of this policy you responded to, so we don't ask you on every page | 6 months |
| IA_LOCALE | Strictly necessary (preference) | Remembers the language version of the site you chose, so you are not redirected to a different one | Session |
Optional cookies (analytics and performance): none are in use today. If we introduce any — for example, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful — we will add them to the table above before they go live, and they will only be set if you have clicked "Accept All". If you previously accepted, we will ask you again whenever this list changes in a way that affects your choice.
4. Third-party sites
Some links on this site take you to other services: the Download button goes to GitHub, which hosts our installer, and checkout links go to our payment processor. Those services may set their own cookies on their own domains, under their own cookie and privacy policies. We do not control those cookies and they are not covered by this policy.
5. Managing your choice
You can change your mind at any time:
- On this site: select "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page to reopen the consent dialog and choose again. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal and you have not made a choice yet, we treat it as "Reject All".
- In your browser: every major browser lets you view, delete, and block cookies, either for all sites or for specific ones. Look for "Cookies" or "Site data" in the privacy settings of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. Deleting the IA_CONSENT cookie will make the consent dialog appear again on your next visit.
6. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy whenever we add, remove, or change a cookie. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always shows when it last changed.
7. Contact us
If you have any question about how we use cookies, email [email protected].
